We all know the Sun rises in the east and sets in the west. Hence west coast is the perfect place to view sunset. You head to any beach and you will be able to view sunset. Some places like Griffith observatory will be flooded with tourists to capture the sunset and some of my secret spots where you can simply enjoy the view without any hurdles and barrier.
Best places to view sunset around Los Angeles
Griffith Observatory is a very famous tourist place and popular for planetarium lovers. These will be a great place for those who want to see Hollywood sign without hiking. This is one of the best places to view the sunset and it gets pretty crowded so grab your spot ASAP.
Venice Beach is very famous for art and spirit of bohemian style. You have probably heard about snow sliding but on Venice beach you can do sand sliding. Beside art and wall painting, open gym and skate parks attracts the youth. Venice board walk is best place to view sunset. If you want sit on the beach, play with sand and enjoy the sunset view with your loved on.
Del Cerro Park, Rancho Palos Verdes
Enough about a crowded place right? You will not find Del Cerro Park in suggestions while you do google search. Because I found this place while exploring my neighborhood. This is a public park located in Rancho palos verdes. It is known among the locals for its hiking trails and breathtaking view of the Pacific ocean. You will find hardly 10-15 people so no crowd and peaceful view of the sunset.
Heisler Park, Laguna Beach
Since we moved to California, I wanted to visit Laguna beach but due to other travel plans, we were not able to go. And this year winter was a little bit harsh so I didn’t want to waste warm day gifted by mother nature. We decided to explore Laguna beach. It has a nice boardwalk on the beach and kid’s play area as well. You can walk along the shore or sit and enjoy a view of the ocean. Heisler Park is the best place to do a picnic. Unfortunately, the weather got cloudy as evening approached and we were not able to see the sunset. Although hide and seek of cloud and sun provided a gorgeous view.
Founders Park, Rancho Palos Verdes
Founders Park is my favorite place for a summer picnic. The best thing about this park is it has everything hiking trail, beach access, eye-catching view and garden for kids. I have already shared a detailed post on Picnic at Founders Park with sunset view.
