I can’t believe January is already over; It seems like 2022 is running so fast. In no time, spring will start soon. Before spring hits, the weather gets warm and famous destinations flooded with tourists, make your travel plans and get your booking. To make your travel planning easy, here is the list of the best places to visit in February.
Los Angeles
Recommended by Mary of Bucket list places
Los Angeles is known as the City of Stars, and it’s a fantastic city to visit at any time of year. However, February is an ideal time to take advantage of off-season pricing on things like flights and hotels.
Things to do in Los Angeles
The list of LA attractions is long and varied, from the luxury shopping on Rodeo Drive to the Los Angeles County Museum of Art’s many exhibits. Since fewer travelers go to Southern California in the winter, February is a great time to avoid the crowds at Universal Studios in Hollywood or Disneyland nearby Anaheim. Plus, you can plan your trip to overlap with some of the most remarkable events on Los Angeles’ calendar. Monster Jam is an exciting competition of monster trucks, which falls on the last two weekends of February.
Weather in Los Angeles
In February, temperatures stay between 50 and 70 degrees Fahrenheit, with clear skies and full sun on most days. Since you’re avoiding the usual summer heat, the February temperatures are perfect for one of the most iconic things to do in Los Angeles: go to Griffith Park and hike up to see the Hollywood sign.
Transportation & stay in Los Angeles
Los Angeles is a huge travel hub, so it’s easy to reach from nearly anywhere. LAX is the biggest airport but can also reach Los Angeles from elsewhere in California and the United States very easily via ground travel. For example, a bus from Bakersfield to LA can be just $10.
The best hotels to consider are Oceana Santa Monica for beachfront views, Peninsula Beverly Hills for ultimate luxury, and Hotel Covell for a quirky, boutique stay in the Hollywood area. The majority of the attractions and activities are north of downtown, so look for accommodations in neighborhoods like Venice Beach, Beverly Hills, or Hollywood.
New England
Recommended by Amanda of Hey! East Coast USA
New England in February means anything from ski slopes to ice skating; brisk beach walks to fun annual family-friendly events. Cities are quiet as fewer tourists flood in, while snowed-in postcard-worthy towns make for a classic cozy escape for locals. Even if you have never tried skiing, there is no harm in taking a chance; check this beginner’s guide for first-time skiers.
Things to do in New England
The annual Keene Ice & Snow Festival in New Hampshire or the yearly Newport Winter Festival in Rhode Island is great for family fun. For the more adventurous, the US National Toboggan Championships are held in Maine each February, and it’s quite a show!
While there are countless events throughout the month in New England, head to Kennebunkport in Maine, where they “Paint the Town Red” for Valentine’s Day (and celebrations last all month these days!). It’s perfect as part of an East Coast road trip from Boston.
Weather in New England
Expect temperatures to be cold; the region sees highs in the 30s (Fahrenheit), so you’re generally hovering around freezing. And February can be prime time for a snowstorm or even a blizzard. But there’s nothing more magical than a fresh coat of snow for a winter wonderland scene!
Transportation & stay in New England
Fly into Boston Logan Airport (BOS) and spend a few days in the city first to enjoy lower off-season prices. Then rent a car for the scenic drive north — just make sure you have a shovel, scraper, and extra blankets in the car. It is, after all, New England!
Keep in mind schools in New England usually have a one-week break the week of Presidents’ Day, so expect prices to go up and family-friendly places to be busier that week. And, if you do go to Kennebunkport, book your accommodations early since it’s a small coastal town. The Kennebunkport Inn offers a classic New England style with deals for Paint the Town Red packages throughout the month.
Puerto Rico
Recommended by Nikki of She Saves She Travels
Puerto Rico is one of the best places to visit in February; who loves warmer weather.
Things to do in Puerto Rico
Visit Old San Juan to see the 500-year old fort, Castillo San Felipe del Morro. Walk the cobblestone streets and taste the many flavors of Puerto Rico through the fantastic cuisine. Adventurers will love exploring El Yunque National Forest. Chase waterfalls, visit ancient lookouts, and hike to some of the tallest peaks on the island.
But you cannot visit Puerto Rico without seeing the beach. Rated as one of the best beaches in the Caribbean, Flamenco Beach, Puerto Rico, is a must-see! This impeccable beach is stunning for a short ferry or plane ride to Culebra from the mainland. Set in an all-natural setting, it’s one of the must-sees in Puerto Rico!
Weather in Puerto Rico
With temperatures in the 70’s and 80’s, the weather is perfect for a warm winter getaway. Plus, it’s not typically as rainy, and it’s not hurricane season, either.
Transportation & stay in Puerto Rico
For the best accommodations in Old San Juan, stay in Palacio Provincial. If beach views are more your style, the Aleli Cottages in Culebra are perfect. Fly into the Luis Munoz Marin International Airport in San Juan to Puerto Rico. From there, you can rent a car or take a rideshare.
Marrakech

Marrakech is a fantastic warm-weather destination for February travel.
Things to do in Marrakech
There are so many cool things to do in Marrakech! You will see so many intricate, beautiful tiles and mosaics in the attractions during your trip, including at the Bahia Palace. This old palace is stunning, with colorful tiles and mosaics everywhere, several courtyards, gardens with fountains and tropical plants (and of course, more mosaics), and even stained glass windows.
Of course, you can’t miss the Jardin Majorelle, a botanical garden with exotic plants ranging from cactus to bamboo to palm trees. As beautiful as the vegetation is, the garden is made famous from the structures and accents painted a deep blue! It’s a striking contrast and one that you should see.
Shopping is also a must-do in Marrakech – the souks (markets) are full of interesting, colorful goods, such as ceramics, carpets, lanterns, leather shoes and purses, aromatic spices, and more. Even if you don’t plan on buying, a walk through the souks is a feast for the senses!
Weather in Marrakech
The crowds are lower, and the temperatures average a very mild and pleasant 68 degrees F. This is a far cry from the 100+ temperatures you can experience in the summer!
Transportation & stay in Marrakech
You can fly into the Marrakech Menara Airport. It’s only 15 minutes by taxi from the old medina, which is very convenient.
During your stay in Marrakech, you absolutely must stay in a Riad! A Riad is a traditional Moroccan guesthouse. They usually are tiny, with only 5-8 rooms, and have a garden courtyard in the center. Often the garden is open air. These riads are charming and – staying in one is a cultural experience in and of itself! I recommend Riad dar Palmyra, a charming riad a short walk from the main medina and several other attractions.
Lipno nad Vltavou
Recommended by Cosette of KarsTravels
Lipno nad Vltavou is the perfect place to enjoy the cold in February.
Things to do in Lipno nad Vltavou
The Lipno lake freezes over, and there are miles of natural ice to skate or walk. The surrounding mountains will be covered in snow, so you’ll have picture-perfect views while on the lake. Next to ice skating on the lake, there are more fun things to do in Lipno nad Vltavou. There’s also Snowpark Lyžařský areál on the mountain. The area has four ski lifts and 8.4 miles of ski slope to test your skiing skills. Second, visit the treetop walkway; it’s 131 feet high and next to the ski slope. You’ll have mesmerizing views over the forest, lake, and mountains.
Weather in Lipno nad Vltavou
The weather in February is about 23°F to 34°F, and snow precipitation can be expected 30 millimeters. Lipno nad Vltavou is in Czechia, in Southern Bohemia, not that far from the Austrian or German border.
Transportation & stay in Lipno nad Vltavou
Linz Airport is the closest airport; it’s in Austria. From here, it’s 41 miles by car to Lipno nad Vltavou, which takes about an hour and 15 minutes. A perfect place to stay is Landal Marino Lipno. They have apartments next to the lake, close to the ski slope.
Tenerife
Recommended by Tjasa of the travel momento
Are you looking for a stunning destination with warm and sunny weather to escape the cold winter months? Then look no further – Tenerife, the largest of the islands compiling Spanish archipelago, is a holiday favorite destination for many people.
Things to do in Tenerife
The island is mainly associated with resorts and beaches, but there is much more to see and do in Tenerife. The most popular activity is hiking through a gazillion of different paths around the national park of the volcano Mount Teide, alongside a beautiful coastline, or through awe-spiring villages like Masca.
To relax, altering hours of admiring the landscape, take a tour, and enjoy watching dolphins in their natural habitat. Ameliorate your experience of tasting unique volcanic red wines in Icod de Los Vinos, which is also the home of the island’s symbol, Dragon Tree.
Weather in Tenerife
With an average temperature of 70°F, February is the best month for dolphins and whale watching, warm sea temperatures, and beautiful sunny days without crowds of tourists.
Transportation & stay in Tenerife
Due to the small size of the island, you can fly to any of the two airports – Tenerife North Airport (or Los Rodeos) and Tenerife South Airport.
Sicily
Recommended by Caroline of veggie wayfarer
The Mediterranean island of Sicily is wonderfully sunny.
Things to do in Sicily
The islands boast an incredible amount of landmarks and places to see. Spend a few days exploring the monuments Palermo – Norman Palace, Palermo Cathedral, Chiesa del Gesu – and trying all the delicious street food – Arancina is one you will not want to miss!
Once you get a feel for the city, venture out towards a few authentic Sicilian villages dotted around the island. Baroque lovers will want to head over to the Val di Noto in Eastern Sicily. Western Sicily holds the Valley of Temples – extraordinary well preserved Greek temples and beautiful salt flats in Trapani.
Weather in Sicily
With winter temperatures that average out at 20°C/ 68°F, it is the perfect place to escape the cold winter. If you get lucky, you might even get to swim – yep, it is possible in the winter! One thing is for sure; your vitamin D will be completely restocked.
Transportation & stay in Sicily
Flying on the island, there are two options – Catania airport in Eastern Sicily or Palermo International airport in Northern Sicily. The easiest way to navigate the island is by renting a car, as public transport is unreliable.
If you are looking for a unique place to stay, why not try visiting the tonnara of Scopello. The hotel is right by the beach and will give you instant summer vibes.
Antarctica
Recommended by Pamela of The Directionally Challenged Traveler
One of the best places to visit in February is the incredible continent Antarctica. The untouched beauty of the continent is unlike anywhere else on Earth.
Things to do in Antarctica
Travelers can learn about the unique geology of the continent, hike up dormant volcanoes, go kayaking with seals and penguins, brave the icy water in a polar plunge, or even go camping in Antarctica! Each of these activities will leave you in awe at the breathtaking beauty of the ice continent.
Weather in Antarctica
Tourists can only visit during the summer months, November through March, but February is when the penguins begin to molt and age. You’ll see penguins of various ages, from still young babies wholly covered in soft gray feathers to older penguins with just a few patches left. February is when you get to see the lifespan of the penguin all at once.
Transportation & stay in Antarctica
Most people visit Antarctica via cruise ship from Argentina. Smaller cruise ships (less than 500 passengers), like Hurtigruten, allow for more time on land to see wildlife close up. While visiting Antarctica in February may seem a little crazy, it’s summer in the southern hemisphere. Temperatures are typically above freezing during this time, but you will need layers to stay warm.
Visiting Antarctica in February is truly a bucket list experience that will make you fall in love with Mother Nature.
Lake Louise
Recommended by Natasha of Planes, Trains, and Karcz
Visiting the famed Lake Louise in February strikes a perfect balance between catching Banff National Park’s signature winter wonderland season but without any of the holiday crowds.
Things to do in Lake Louise
While the weather is all but guaranteed to be cold, there’s still ample opportunity to cozy up by a fire at either the renowned Fairmont Château Lake Louise (which overlooks the frozen lake and has a picture-perfect view of the esteemed Victoria Glacier) or at your wood cabin found at Castle Mountain Chalet. Both options provide greater accessibility for day tripping to Banff’s town or the scenic Emerald Lake, where you can snowshoe the lake’s perimeter upon one of its distinguished tracks.
Weather in Lake Louise
Lake Louise is located in the heart of the Canadian Rocky Mountain wilderness, you’ll want to ensure to pack your layers as the average temperature will vary between 1°F and 30°F.
Transportation & stay in Lake Louise
To reach the small mountain town of Lake Louise, you’ll first need to fly into the YYC International Airport in Calgary, Alberta (the closest major city) and rent a vehicle to make the 2.5-hour drive west. Keep your eyes open for wildlife tracks on the side of the road, as you might just be lucky enough to catch an elusive gray wolf, a typical visitor during this time of year. Upon arrival, consider joining the locals on the slopes at the Lake Louise ski resort, bask in the warmth of one of the nearby hot springs, or – if you’re feeling adventurous – trek along with one of the best hikes in Banff for an up-close-and-personal view of Lake Louise’s enchanting wilderness. No matter how you spend your time here in Lake Louise, it’s sure to be a once-in-a-lifetime adventure you won’t soon forget!
Mississippi

Eat, Play, Love in Coastal Mississippi, also known as the Secret Coast.
Things to do in Mississippi
During February, the celebration of Mardi Gras can range from visiting the Mardi Gras Museum in Biloxi, which is full of history and costumes, to having the traditional King Cake. Also, be on the lookout for a King Cake Martini or a pint of King Cake Ale. Be on the lookout for several parades, including a favorite Dog Parade or decorated golf carts. Throw on a few beads and join in.
You will find the freshest shrimp and oysters along the Gulfcoast as anywhere in the world. Even guess how many ways they can be prepared is not even possible. One place to consider dining is The Chimneys in Gulfport, voted as Mississippi’s Most Romantic Restaurant by Food & Wine Magazine. You will find many are locally owned. Visit Bay St. Louis and Ocean Springs for a very artsy and walkable downtown area, plus enjoy shops and eateries with lots of local fares. And don’t forget about the casinos if you are feeling lucky.
Weather in Mississippi
You will find the culture and history of Coastal Mississippi evolve around the seafood and maritime industry, quite different than the rest of the state. With average temperatures from 48 to 64 F, it’s perfect for a wintertime getaway.
Transportation & stay in Mississippi
My top recommendations for your stay would be a Bed & Breakfast in the Bay Town Inn in Bay St. Louis, a resort feeling at Oasis Resort at Centennial Plaza in Gulfport, or a favorite boutique hotel, The Roost in Ocean Springs.

Venice
Recommended by Kirsty of Lost in landmarks
Venice is a beautiful destination at any time of the year, but visiting in February is great for various reasons.
Things to do in Venice
Venice in winter is a much quieter time of year so that you can enjoy the city with fewer people there. It also is romantic and full of love as Valentine’s Day falls in the city and Venice fills up with couples.
Getting lost in the streets of Venice is my favorite activity and so easy to do! In winter, the streets can be misty and have an ethereal feeling, enhancing the place’s romance.
Carnival also happens in February and brings a different vibe to the city. People dress up in masks and take to the streets. Events, concerts, and balls also happen at this time, making for a unique trip.
Weather in Venice
The weather in Venice can be cold and wet, but you can also get some gloriously sunny days. The temperatures are low no matter the weather, with an average high of around 47 degrees.
Transportation & stay in Venice
The main airport is Marco Polo, and you can reach Venice by water taxi, which is an enjoyable way to arrive.
It’s best to stay in central Venice itself, and I recommend staying close to the main sights, so the short winter days don’t impede your time in the city. I recommend the Liassidi Palace hotel, just a short 10-minute walk from St Mark’s Square.

Cadiz, Spain
Recommended by Linn of Brainy Backpackers
One of the best places to travel for winter sun in Europe is the underrated city of Cadiz in southern Spain.
Things to do in Cadiz
Generally, Cadiz is a lesser-visited city in Spain, but cruise tourism has increased drastically throughout the years. Even so, there shouldn’t be long queues to enter the cathedral or climb the clock tower for sweeping views over the Atlantic.
A pleasant stroll along the esplanade will lead you from the old city center to the most important attractions of Cadiz, Castillo Santa Catalina, and San Sebastian fortress, both excellent remains of the splendor era of Cadiz when it was the gateway of the New World as one of western Europe’s oldest continuously inhabited cities. From its frequent trade with Venice, Spain’s oldest carnival was born. The Carnival in Cadiz is unique, and it is celebrated in February. This is when the streets are jam-packed with locals from all over Andalucia, humorous groups occupy the street corner for hundreds of spectates, and unique processions roll through the streets.
Weather in Cadiz
February is not only a month with warm, sunny 15-20 degree-days perfect for a cold beer on the cathedral square; it’s also the time of year when the sweet scent of orange blossom fills the streets.
Transportation & stay in Cadiz
Cadiz is situated on the coast about an hour south of Seville, but the nearest airport is in the un-famous Jerez de la Frontera, just a short train ride away. For a central and unique stay, book a room at Hotel Boutique Convento Cádiz. But remember to book well in advance if you go during the carnival as the entire city fills up quickly! An alternative is to stay in the next port town, El Puerto de Santa Maria.
Cartagena, Colombia
Recommended by Melinda of Mel on the go
Cartagena is a smaller, less expensive Miami, with beautiful Caribbean waters, great restaurants, and great street life.
Things To Do in Cartagena
A must in Cartagena is a visit to the walled city. It’s a historic UNESCO World Heritage site with 4km of walls surrounding beautiful cobblestoned streets, squares, and Colonial heritage buildings. Wander the squares while sampling fresh local juices and mojitos and dancing to street performers’ lively salsa and rap music.
Enjoy the street art in Getsemani. The hip neighbor of Old Town is filled with colorful streets. Take a tour and learn about the intersection of politics and culture that influenced the graffiti and murals here.
Swim, snorkel, and frolic at Las Islas. Daily trips to Isla Baru or the Rosario Islands stop at the beautiful sandy beaches along the azure Caribbean sea. Or level up and book a day or overnight at an all-inclusive beach club. You won’t regret a visit to The Jewel of The Caribbean Coast.
Weather in Cartagena
Colorful Cartagena, Colombia, is full of life and culture all year round, but it’s best to go December- April when there’s no rain. Escape the cold up north and visit Cartagena in February, when you can expect temps at 85F and sunshine.
Transportation & stay in Cartagena
The Cartagena international airport has flights daily from Fort Lauderdale and weekly from Toronto. The airport is less than 7km northeast of the Walled City, and a taxi costs about 12,000 COP or 3$ US straight to your hotel. UBER or InDriver will run slightly less, but maybe a long wait.
Visitors to the city will want to stay in either Old Town, Getsemani, or Bocagrande, in a hotel with a pool. The GHL Armeria Real Hotel ticks all the boxes, with a rooftop pool and harbor views.

Sedona, USA
Recommended by Candice of CS Ginger
Sedona is a town in northern Arizona known for its beautiful Red Rock formations and a place of spiritual renewal and healing. There are a variety of energy vortexes in the area and beautiful hiking trails, spas, and fun outdoor activities.
Things To Do in Sedona
One of Sedona’s best things to do, especially at sunset, is hiking Cathedral Rock. It is a large rock formation with beautiful views of the Sedona valley. The trail is 1.2 miles long. But is it a moderate hike because of the steep gains in elevation? There are some places where you have to scramble up the rocks on the trail.
Another fun thing to do in town is exploring the Tlaquepaque Arts and Crafts Village as well as Uptown Sedona. These are two significant shopping areas in a city filled with specialty boutiques, tourist shops, and delicious restaurants. This is a great place to go after a morning of hiking.
Weather in Sedona
Temperatures are more relaxed in February, but as long as you come prepared with a jacket for the evenings, you will be fine. In February, the average high is 64 degrees Fahrenheit, and the average low is 36 degrees Fahrenheit. It is plenty warm to enjoy hiking during the day, especially if you are coming from a cooler climate.
Transportation & stay in Sedona
The closest airport to Sedona is Flagstaff Pulliam (FLG), 20 miles from downtown Sedona. An international airport is Sky Harbor International Airport in Phoenix, about 100 miles from downtown Sedona. February is a great time to visit Sedona because it is considered the slow season in the area. Hikes and restaurants will be a lot less crowded. Accommodations are less expensive. Parking at trailheads does become a problem during the busy season.

Belize
Recommended by Daria of the discovery nut
A hidden gem in Central America, Belize is a perfect country to visit in February if you are looking for an alternative to popular destinations in the Caribbean that are often crowded during this time of the year.
Things to do in Belize
Belize is considered one of the best places in the world for diving. The country boasts the Great Mesoamerican Barrier Reef – the second largest barrier reef globally. You can see an incredible array of biodiversities such as manta rays, turtles, sharks, and even manatees! The country is also home to the Great Blue Hole – a giant natural sinkhole off the country’s coast. It is located near the center of Lighthouse Reef, a tiny atoll 70 kilometers from the mainland and Belize City.
Many diving enthusiasts travel to Belize to dive in the Great Blue Hole – one of the top diving sites in the world that is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Another popular thing to do in Belize is touring Mayan ruins. The Mayan civilization stretched across Mexico and Central America, including Belize. Some of the most famous Mayan ruins in Belize are Lamanai, Caracol, and Xunantunich.
And if you want more adventure, consider joining a guided tour to one of the caves in Belize, such as the famous ATM caves that National Geographic has profiled.
Weather in Belize
February is the best time to visit Belize as temperatures are around 65°F to 82°F, perfect weather to enjoy all activities.
Transportation & stay in Belize
Take a flight to Philip S. W. Goldson International Airport (BZE); it is the only airport in Belize City. Once you are in Belize, you can get around by plane, bus, water taxi, boat, car, or even kayak!
Belize has plenty of options to stay, including beach resorts, but Ambergris Caye and Caye Caulker are popular.
Winnipeg, Canada
Recommended by Bea of Pack Your Bags
Winnipeg, Canada, is one of February’s best places to visit.
Things to do in Winnipeg
In February, the top winter thing to do in Winnipeg is participating in the Festival du Voyageur. This annual festival celebrates Manitoba’s French-Canadian and the Métis cultures. It is mainly held outdoors, so you do need to dress warmly. But be prepared for some extraordinary experiences, like dog sled rides, a fiddling contest, horse-drawn carriage rides, and fantastic food.
Another very unique winter activity is dining on a frozen river in Winnipeg. Once a year, for a few weeks while the Assiniboine River is frozen solid, you can experience dinner like no other. Chef Hitzer is the mastermind behind this top culinary event featuring top Canadian chefs in a pop-up restaurant for a good cause.
Weather in Winnipeg
Winnipeg has long and cold winters. In February, temperatures can reach well under -20°C. Such severe winter is why Winnipeg has given the nickname Winterpeg. But thanks to such a harsh climate, this Canadian prairie city has some unique experiences to offer its visitors.
And if you enjoy ice skating, then Winnipeg offers one of the longest frozen river ice skating trails in the world. You can rent your skates at the Forks and enjoy warming huts along the trail designed by architects from around the globe.
Transportation & stay in Winnipeg
To get to this winter wonderland, you need to fly into the Winnipeg (YWG) airport. There are many excellent hotels to stay in, but my favorite ones are the Fort Garry Hotel & Spa and the Inn at the Forks. Suppose you love all things winter and off-the-beaten-track destinations. In that case, visiting the Canadian province of Manitoba in the wintertime is sure to provide many unique experiences for a discerning traveler.

Ottawa, Canada
Recommended by Renee of Dream Plan Experience
Ottawa, Canada’s capital city, is the perfect destination for a Canadian winter getaway. Especially in February. For the first three weekends of February each year, Ottawa hosts a free winter festival called Winterlude. Winterlude is one of Canada’s biggest and most popular winter events, attracting thousands of tourists from Canada and the USA.
Things to do in Ottawa
The biggest draw of this family-friendly festival is its spectacular ice-carving competition and skating along the Rideau Canal Skateway. The Rideau Canal Skateway is the largest ice skating rink in the world at 7.8km (or 4.8 miles) and is a historic UNESCO World Heritage Site. Glide along the frozen canal, which winds into downtown and gives you stunning views of the city, including the castle-like Fairmont Chateau Laurier, a recommended place to stay while in Ottawa.
While Winterlude offers an action-packed program of exciting outdoor activities like the kid-friendly Snowflake Kingdom, Ottawa provides an abundance of other winter attractions beyond its February festival. Some of the top things to do in Ottawa in the winter include outdoor activities like skiing, tobogganing, and snowshoeing. If you want to escape the cold (as average temperatures are between 8 to 23 degrees F), why not visit one of the city’s best museums and art galleries, or tour the Parliament Buildings.
Weather in Ottawa
Ottawa is well below freezing temperature in February, ranging from 25 degrees to 8 degrees Fahrenheit. It’s better to pack up layers to protect yourself from the heat.
Transportation & stay in Ottawa
Visit Canada’s capital city, via Ottawa International Airport, to experience a quintessential Canadian winter wonderland. Ottawa has plenty of options for hotels and vacation rentals in the city center and outside.
New Orleans, USA

The infamous Mardi Gras festival in New Orleans makes it the perfect place to visit in February.
Things to do in New Orleans
Mardi Gras Carnival New Orleans happens for several weeks of February in the run-up of Fat Tuesday, the day before Ash Wednesday. While you can enjoy the colorful parades, costumes, and atmosphere for two weeks previous, the most popular time to attend is the closing weekend. This is when the biggest and most famous parade krewes operate and when the parties on Bourbon Street accelerate into overdrive.
When you’re not catching throws during the parades or partying in Bourbon Street, you can enjoy the history and culture of New Orleans. Take a guided tour of the intriguing cemeteries and learn all about the origins of voodoo and how it still has a place in the city today.
Known worldwide as the city of jazz, be sure to head to Frenchmen Street to see jazz musicians on the street corners and singers rock the bars and clubs. On Fat Tuesday itself, the whole street turns into an insane party with mobile sound systems enticing partygoers to follow the music throughout the city.
Weather in New Orleans
New Orleans has a moderate temperature, approximately 45 F, so be sure to pack plenty of layers.
Transportation & stay in New Orleans
You will fly into the New Orleans airport and grab RTA’s 202 Airport Express quickly and cheaply to get to Canal Street in the center. Hi Hostel in the French Quarter is great if you’re looking for affordable accommodation.
So many amazing places to visit in February! I would like to see Belize!

The best place for me is Los Angeles. The climate is extremely good and the temperature does not change much. The other places you mentioned are also good.
